I wanted to try something fun and different for you but I understand that some of you may not have to materials to do this project. You will need the following materials for the whole project...
Materials:
If you do not have these materials and cannot get them, please continue to do 5 more bingo activities on your sheer instead of this project.
To help you understand how to do this project, please watch the Edpuzzle video below. You should be able to access the video using your school email account. Make sure to answer the questions first and then follow along with it when you are creating your own! I will be available to answer any questions if you need.
Materials:
- A pencil
- Paper (a few sheets of regular computer or sketchbook paper is fine)
- A pen (ball-point pen works best)
- A piece of Styrofoam cut into a square or rectangle (this can be from a plate or a to go container but it has to be Styrofoam) -> size should be around 6"x9"
- Washable markers (cannot be permanent and crayola works best)

Directions and further instruction...
Step 1-
Create a drawing on a piece of paper about the size of the examples in the video. Use a pencil. Ideas include animals, a design using patterns, space, flowers and nature and cartoons. This should be with lines only (no coloring in!)
Step 2-
Cut out a piece of Styrofoam. Be careful not to dent or scratch it. Then place your drawing over the Styrofoam and secure it with a little piece of tape on top so it doesn't move around. Then trace over your pencil drawing with a pen.
Note: This can be tricky! You want to push hard enough that your drawing gets indented into the Styrofoam, but not too hard that you break or put a whole in the Styrofoam.
Step 3-
Once you trace over your whole drawing, carefully take the tape and paper off of the Styrofoam and trace over the indented grooves on the Styrofoam with your pen again. Congratulations... now you are ready for Part 2!
